Carolina Bluegrass Style

2-4 pm

Carolina Bluegrass Style is a unique blend of young and old; past, present and, maybe, the future. When Tommy Thomas asked Tyler Chasteen, Don Ashley and David Prosser to get together and play some music they had no idea that they would be creating a new group, But their popularity has passed all expectations. A blend of traditional Bluegrass, Western Swing, rock, reggae, and classical, “CBS” brings a unique approach to traditional music. Give them a listen!

Michelle Leigh

4-6 pm

Michelle Leigh is a bit of a musical mosaic with roots in classic country (Dolly Parton and Merle Haggard) and Southern Rock (Lynyrd Skynyrd and Molly Hatchet). Her vocals are described as being smoky and rough, with the power of a guitar tube amp. So what do you do with a girl who thinks like a guy, has the delivery of a Mack Truck, and the fearlessness to write honestly without sugarcoating?  Put her front and center in Southern Rock, that’s what! Come see why!

Come Visit Us!

The Young’s Fuel/Town of Bakersville Stage at the Spruce Pine BBQ Festival has seen a treasure trove of artists perform over the years. Scott McKinney, Barrett Davis, Randy Flack, JAM, Will Ritter, Tru Blu, Pierce Danger, Rock Creek Ramblers…the list goes on and on! Featuring a variety of musical styles, the stage has been home to both solo artists and groups, internationally-recognized and locally-based, and all bringing their talents to entertain.

Music a a BIG part of our festival experience, and we hope you’ll make plans to be with us all day long, tapping your foot to the tunes and enjoying great food and fellowship!
